Coast Construction was selected to completely remodel the 1980’s-built building into what is now referred to as Whistler’s finest dining and bar experience. Extensive structural reconfigurations to open the expansive dining space and the addition of a second-floor elevation were part of the complexities of this project. Bricault Design incorporated ultra high-end millwork and a specialty finish design, which the Coast team engineered to produce fabrication drawings allowing for a smooth transition from supply to installation. Coast remodeled the building’s entire structural package, adding new facades to the exterior, an auxiliary building and new patio. The second-floor features elaborately designed public washrooms as well as impressive staff amenities, including spa-like changerooms, showers, chill-out lounge and kitchen. Additionally, an extensive commercial kitchen upgrade, new mechanical, electrical, low voltage and integrated audio video systems were added.
Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar was recognized by the prestigious ‘Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants’ with #4 in the nation’s Best New Restaurant category in 2023.
