Coast Construction was chosen by Measured Architecture to execute their modernist take on classic 70’s Whistler cabin. A significant renovation went back to the foundation, yet retained the original footprint and rooflines. Renovation design ethos was contemporary-refined with course interiors that expressed structural elements. Existing and reclaimed wood was repurposed for wall cladding elements inside the home, instead of using drywall. Full mechanical and structural retrofit added another element of comfort for our clients who plan to enjoy this legacy property for years to come, bringing modern day efficiencies to heating and cooling. Our multi-talented team of craftspeople ensured this property will stand the test of time.
